"Multi-dimensional cancer-host interaction during metastasis"

Dr Zhang is an internationally recognized breast cancer researcher, with special expertise in metastases.  His group studies mechanisms of dormancy, evolution and outgrowth of bone metastases.  He is also very interested in the role of the immune system in breast cancer development and progression, and specifically he studies the question of how breast cancers evolve to induce dysfunctions of the immune system both systemically and locally.
