PhD (Pharmacology), Anhui Medical University, Heifei, China 1999.
Headshot of Bin Wang, PhD

Research Areas

Dr. Wang researches parathyroid hormone receptor trafficking, interaction with NHERF1/EBP50 and other PDZ proteins, and their effects on the signaling in bone and kidney. The goal of these studies will contribute to our understanding of mineral ion homeostasis under normal conditions, as well as the pathogenesis of diseases that are related to disordered calcium and phosphorus balance in osteoporosis, chronic renal failure and hyperparathyroidism. The results will provide insights into developing drugs for selective therapeutic applications.
