“Hydrogen Sulfide in Vascular Disease – from bench to bedside”

This seminar will review our research showing that vascular endothelial cells are the primary source and target for H
2
S in small arteries and show the work deciphering the multiple signaling pathways for H
2
S in the vascular wall. I will also discuss ongoing human subjects studies focused on developing a device to sensitively measure the release of H
2
S across the skin as way to use early detection of changes in microvascular function in subjects with diabetes.
