“A positive allosteric gating modifier of Cav2 voltage-gated calcium channels with therapeutic potential to treat a variety of neuromuscular diseases”

My talk will focus on the rational design and development of a novel voltage-gated calcium channel drug. I will start with the basic science that led to the discovery, and then present the pre-clinical data that supports the development of this drug for use in a variety of neuromuscular diseases (including SMA, ALS, and LEMS), as well as frailty in normal aging.
